Universal Credit Pilot Launched

The first pilot of "Universal Credit" has commenced in Manchester. The new online system will be introduced from October 2013 in England, Scotland and Wales, and from April 2014 in Northern Ireland. It will merge several benefits and tax credits into one monthly payment.
