How do Childcare Vouchers work?


Childcare Vouchers are a Government scheme aimed at helping working parents with the cost of childcare.  Childcare Vouchers normally work through salary sacrifice which means parents choose to receive them instead of part of their salary.  Alternatively, employers can opt to give Childcare Vouchers in addition to salary.  In both cases Vouchers are free from tax and National Insurance Contributions for employers and parents alike.
